One of the most disturbing and perhaps unforeseen impacts of the COVID pandemic has been its dramatic effect on the global supply chain and workforce. The subsequent pandemic lockdowns placed unprecedented stresses on logistics and last-mile delivery.

We are not out of the woods yet! Supply-chain disruption has made it increasingly difficult for retailers and other shippers to deliver on their promises for e-commerce and small parcel orders. Before the end of 2019, no one had predicted that such a crisis would severely and negatively impact the global economy, labour and materials availability.
